ForexMinute.com – Probably the first ever Bitcoin centered travel agency, BTCTrip has come a long way since its inception in June 2013. The company, with its impeccable and timely services, quickly melted its way inside the Bitcoin community and turned out be the best alternative to other online travel agencies like Expedia and Travelocity.
While enjoying its successful collaboration with Bitcoin, BTCTrip is now expanding its territory to other cryptocurrencies as well. In a recent interview given to CoinDesk.COM, the agency’s CEO Martin Fernandez spoke about their decision to add Litecoin and Dogecoin into their payment options as well. This announcement comes at a time when both coins are suffering heavily on the trading front.
But it seems Mr. Fernandez is in a mood to excuse both Litecoin and Dogecoin of showing such volatile behavior. Instead, the man’s focus is on the communities which backs them by a huge extent. While speaking to CoinDesk.com, he particularly emphasized on Dogecoin to have a very fresh community.
“I”, he said, “follow this community and I think they are very fresh. They are trying to do new things, so for us, it was very important to accept Dogecoin. […] For me, BTCTrip is a company, but it is also an experiment in cryptocurrency communities.”
It doesn’t mean Mr. Fernandez sidelines the world’s second most traded cryptocurrency Litecoin. In few yet humble words, he recognized the silver coin for always being the best after Bitcoin. “Litecoin was, for me, always the second coin in the market,” he commented.
Currently partnered with BitPay for accepting Bitcoin payments, BTCTrip has also announced via its CEO that it will be hiring GoCoin for its ability to facilitate Litecoin and Dogecoin transactions. BitPay doesn’t offer payment processing services for altcoin-centered transactions.
