San Francisco to Host CoinSummit on March 25-26 2014

A two-day event, CoinSummit is going to be held in San Francisco on March 25-26 2014. According to the organizers of the event, it is aimed at connecting virtual currency entrepreneurs, angel and VC investors, hedge fund professionals and others who are looking to learn and network in the virtual currency industry.

Earlier in its announcement, the organizing body of CoinSummit said that the event which is going to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco was inviting a plethora of celebrity speakers and experts so that attendees are able to learn something new. For instance, Jackson Palmer, co-founder of Dogecoin, is going to deliver his speech at the event.

Some other speakers who will be speaking at the event include Nicolas Cary, CEO of; Chris Larsen, CEO of Ripple Labs; and Alan Safahi, co-founder and CEO of ZipZap. These all speakers are well known in the digital currency economy and playing pivotal role in enhancing the presence of Bitcoin.

CoinSummit organizers have also brought in some renowned investors and technocrats that include angel investor Roger Ver, AngelList’s Naval Ravikant, Ribbit Capital’s Nick Shalek and Jeremy Liew of Lightspeed Venture Partners. Bitcoin which is in dire need of huge investments from angel investors is expected to receive attention at the event from the investors.


CoinSummit is a Couple’s Vision for Bitcoin

Regarding CoinSummit’s vision, the organizing body says that it is the brainchild of husband and wife team, Pamir Gelenbe, serial entrepreneur and partner at Hummingbird Ventures, and Gulnar Hasnain, former head of environment and sustainability strategy for the mayor of London. The couple is sincere about Bitcoin and not leaving any stone unturned in making it popular.

The couple also wants to organize events that throw light on the issues Bitcoin is facing. The latest event according to the couple is being held in San Francisco as the Bay Area is the “nexus of innovation” in the US and the world. According to them a conference is the best way to meet up with other people and discuss the challenges and opportunities.

The CoinSummit will be focusing on the price of Bitcoin in two to three years, and whether regulation is going to kill this whole thing. The attendees too will be looking at the debates and discussions that will throw light on the future course of action.
