Forex broker FIRMA Foreign Exchange Corporation has appointed Dave Dominy as its new Chief Executive Officer, with effect from June 2 this year.
“I am thrilled to welcome Dave to our team and expect that his extensive leadership and management expertise in the financial sector will help drive significant growth of our company,” said Michael Oshry, the company’s Chairman in a press release.
Mr. Dominy has worked for 15 years in various senior capacities in banking and investment banking with a Canadian chartered lender, and also worked for 8 years as a Chief Executive Officer with a private equity firm in Western Canada. Moreover, he also worked as a CEO with a provincial regulator, a role that required him to be involved in implementing new capital and liquidity standards for credit unions.
Mr. Dominy has a Masters of Management from the Chicago-based J.L. Kellogg School of Business, as well as a BA in Mathematics from University of Winnipeg. He also holds an ICD.D certification from Institute of Corporate Directors of Canada.
The Edmonton-based FIRMA Foreign Exchange Corporation has offices in UK, US. Canada, New Zealand and Australia, and deals with all major global currencies. It handles more than 4 billion dollars worth of transactions for its international clients.
In a separate report, foreign exchange consulting firm Shift Forex has hired Wayne Roworth to head its London office and also acts as the head of its Liquidity Services department. Roworth’s last post was as the Chief Dealer at FxPro. Prior to that, Roworth worked with CMC Markets for over 10 years.
