Cryptocurrency Trading News: Bitcoin, Litecoin Surge; Nxt, Darkcoin Super Surges

Cryptocurrency Trading News – The unpredictable cryptocurrency market performed exceptionally in the last 24 hours, with the top coins, including Bitcoin, Darkcoin, Nxt, surging impressively as ever. Like always there were plenty of events that kept the market rolling.

The biggest news of the day was the technological giant Apple finally opening doors for Bitcoin. The company announced via one it circulars that it may soon accept Bitcoin-related applications on its App Store. Earlier, Apple was known to be a anti-virtual-currency company thanks to the shutting down of multiple Bitcoin wallet apps – the latest being in February. Another event that might have added confidence to the Bitcoin market was the addition of Bitcoin coverage against crime in US states.

On the flip side, financial service company Citi criticized Bitcoin to be a threat to debit and credit card issuers. But this little pinch was not enough to burst the Bitcoin bubble, and the coin increased magnificently as ever in last 24 hours.

Here is the detailed report:

After stumbling a little earlier, the BTC/USD opened yesterday at around $627 and remained stable thanks to lack of any major news. But once the Apple fell on the pair, it rose superficially, reaching to its day’s peak at $664. Eventually, the pair closed yesterday at around $663.

Currently, the BTC/USD has surged around 5.5% in the last 24 hours, and is being traded at around $661. The little fall is once again due to the Citi’s comment over Bitcoin. Meanwhile, the pair is expected to remain stable for the rest of the day.

Litecoin, like always, acted on the accord of BTC/USD chart. With Apple announcing to allow Bitcoin wallet apps in the near future, Litecoin too has a chance of being added to the App Store as well. The Apple announcement clearly indicates that it will allow only those virtual currencies that will be acceptable to under the state and Federal laws. Litecoin, thus, has great chances there as well.

As a result, the LTC/USD surged 1.5% in last 24 hours and is currently being traded at around $11.45.

The ongoing surge in Darkcoin value was further fuelled by BitFinex – a renowned cryptocurrency exchange. The exchange announced yesterday that it will be adding Darkcoin trading instruments to its platform, following which users will be able to perform DRK/USD and DRK/BTC trades. This news rippled through the Darkcoin market, following which the DRK/USD rose over 9.5% in last 24 hours.

Currently, the pair is valued at $14.28.

Meanwhile, Nxt kept giving Darkcoin a neck-to-neck competition, while once again bagging the position of third largest market cap. The NXT/USD surged 12.23% in last 24 hours under the influence of the launch of its new asset exchange, which is attracting many users every day. The coin is currently valued at $0.0636.
