Mexican Bitcoin Exchange BitSo has recently entered into a partnership with its national government to better Mexico’s cross border payment sector. The partnership has also been formed to bring the basic banking facilities for the local unbanked population, in the wake of which BitSo will be working alongside the government’s initiative, called Transfer. Australian Bank Westpac Ventures into Coinbase

Australia’s second largest bank Westpac has “indirectly” ventured into Coinbase, a San Francisco based Bitcoin exchange. According to the available information, it is Reinventure Group, a VC firm that directly reports to Westpac, which has invested an undisclosed amount into the Bitcoin services company. Smartphone App Found to be Secretly Mining Bitcoin

A smartphone app developer recently agreed to have lured customers into installing an application that was, in fact, a Bitcoin mining malware. The said application, known as Prized, was found to be draining customers’ mobile phones, a factor that brought it before the law enforcement agencies.
