Kraken Planning to Enter Japan
Kraken, the San-Francisco based cryptocurrency exchange, will soon be entering the Japanese Bitcoin market, as revealed by its founder Jesse Powell in his interview to Bloomberg Businessweek. In May this year, the 33-year old entrepreneur paid a visit to Tokyo to calculate his chances of opening a Kraken vertical there. Upon returning, he confessed to be impressed by the open-mindedness of Japanese politicians when it comes to Bitcoin.
Coinaput Planning to Make a Bitcoin Community Island
An anonymous Caribbean Island is speculated to become the world’s first Bitcoin centered island, if words from the Coinaput are to be believed. The company, in collaboration with Aspen Assurance, is hoping to transform a small island into a large Bitcoin community. This project is titled “Let the Bit Drop”, which will bring the newly emerging Bitcoiners of the island under one roof. This party will be held either in late 2014 or early 2015.
GoCoin Launching New Order Features
The famous payment processor GoCoin just launched a feature called “click-to-bill” with which traders can now easily accept cryptocurrency payments. The new feature allow you to generate invoices and payment requests via SMS and email.
The Makers of Coin for Coffee Now Presents Fold
Fold is the new project launched by the makers of Coin for Coffee and Card for Coin which provides users with a mobile application to make Bitcoin payments. This app can be integrated with several Point of Sale systems and generate scan-able bar codes similar to those of traditional prepaid cards. Speaking to CoinDesk.COM, CEO and co-founder of Coin for Coffee said:
“We learned with Coin for Coffee. We confirmed our hypothesis that people want to spend their bitcoin, which is fantastic, and so far, I think we’ve run through most of the strange situations you can get.”
