Koinify Receives $1 Million in Funding
Koinify, a decentralized crowdfunding platform, recently bagged a whopping $1 million in funding from IDG Capital Partners, Zpark Ventures, Brock Pierce (Bitcoin Foundation member) and Danhua Ventures. Following the funding, Koinify net seed investment has become $1.4 million. Speaking on the occasion was company’s CEO Tom Ding who stated:

“This additional funding round signals excitement and interest from the investment community in the new wave of the decentralized economy revolution. The extra funding will primarily be used to continue development of a secure and extremely user friendly funding platform, as well as to evangelize decentralized application development.”

Vancouver Politician Supports Bitcoin Adoption
Jason Lamarche, a celebrated politician from Vancouver, Canada, recently spoke in favor of Bitcoin, saying that the cryptocurrency should be used in paying taxes, fines, fees and dozen other things. In his recent interview to Georgia Straight, Lamarche questioned councilors for not debating about Bitcoin and other digital currencies. He also termed Vancouver as a potential Silicon Valley, though not doing much to boost innovation thanks to sleepy councilman-ship.

Coinjar Launches the First Bitcoin Debit Card in Australia
Australia-based Coinjar recently presented nation with their first Bitcoin debit card, dubbed as CoinJar Swipe. It is a customer-friendly card integrated into the existing payment infrastructure which can be loaded with Bitcoins. “We created Swipe because we simply wanted to make it easier for our customers to spend their bitcoin.” said Coinjar CEO Asher Tan.
