In an announcement, the Immersive Education Initiative says that all official Immersive Education events will now accept Bitcoin. Thus, attendees may now book tickets for Immersion 2014 in Los Angeles, the European Immersive Education Summit in Vienna, the Immersive Researcher’s Summit in New York City, etc. paying in Bitcoin.
According to the announcement, the organization wants to encourage widespread adoption of Bitcoin throughout its global community. Thus, with this aim, the Initiative is also giving one free Immersion 2014 ticket to attendees who register using Bitcoin. The Immersive Education Initiative and the latest announcement is the first in a series of forthcoming announcements related to the organization’s adoption and support of the virtual currency. The organization is also going to announce the world’s first global education scholarship funded entirely through Bitcoin, soon.
Similarly, the Immersive Education Initiative is willing to form an international council which will be responsible for overseeing the scholarship and the Initiative’s related cryptocurrency and economics activities. Thus, it has a whole range of activities and initiatives related to Bitcoin that are going to see the light of day soon.
The next week is going to unravel the whole plan of the Immersive Education Initiative wherein it is thinking of bringing long-term plans for Bitcoin. It is expected that on the morning of June 8th during the Immersion 2014 keynote address by the Initiative’s founding director Aaron E. Walsh, the organization will unleash its plans for public.
Discussion on Scope and Opportunities in Bitcoin Economy
The sources from the Immersive Education Initiative say that after keynote speech, a talk on the potential for Bitcoin as a universal virtual currency will be held. A lot of issues will be discussed during the event that is being sponsored by Disney and Target, and hosted by Loyola Marymount University in collaboration with the Smithsonian Institution.
Apart from globally renowned speakers, Immersion 2014 will also be hosting exhibits by Disney Animation Studios, the Smithsonian Institution, Google, Microsoft, Stratasys, Oculus, Oracle, Bitcoin, etc. Attendees will have immense scope to learn about the new technologies and how are they going to shape up the businesses.
