The North American Bitcoin Conference will be held on July 19-20, 2014 at Chicago. According to the organizers of the event, more than 2000 participants are expected to flock to the McCormick Place South Building. They also have a kick-off Party on July 18th at The House of Blues. The registrations have been thrown open for participants.
Registration for this community-driven event is open and anyone paying just $100 can register his/her name. The organizers of the event say that as they want mass participation, they have kept the entry fee lower. On the other hand, media Passes are free, however, for that media processionals will have to provide credentials upon registration and confirm them on-site.
The Bitcoin event is also open for Bitcoin users who can register by paying withthe digital currency. When it was started two years ago, not many participants had thought that it would gain so much popularity so soon. However, in contrast to this belief, the North American Bitcoin Conference has grown from 100 attendees in 2012, to 1200 visitors from 30 countries in 2014.
The encouraging participation from Bitcoin supporters, experts and businesses has been fundamental for the organizers and they feel this year will be better than the one that was held the last year. They claim that this is due to attendees’ unwavering enthusiasm about Bitcoin and their belief in the digital currency.
Community Oriented Bitcoin Event
The organizers say that it is the community that made them so the philosophy will remain simple. According to them they are putting the community first and for that they are providing networking and education opportunities for attendees that are unavailable anywhere else and keeping the conference affordable for everyone.
Lower entry fees are going to help community members participate in the exciting workshops and networking opportunities that The North American Bitcoin Conference will be bringing up. The organizers say that they don’t believe in any barriers to entry. With an impressive line of speakers, the participants are going to learn a lot of new things about Bitcoin.
From BitPay’s Tony Gallippi to Litecoin creators Charlie Lee, to “Bitcoin Jesus” Roger Ver, a host of high profile names are going to be the leading speakers at the event. Last but not least, NABC is dedicated to giving back to the community and has teamed up with The BitGive Foundation and A Special Wish Foundation to illustrate this commitment.
