GoCoin, International payments platform, has announced that it has entered into a partnership with point-of-sales (POS) service provider Apriva to bring altcoin and Bitcoin payment options for Apriva’s more than 1,000 channel partners. The latest decision by the two companies is going to help them provide instant payments using the digital currencies.
Currently, Apriva’s Gateway connects payment devices, merchant acquirers and payment processors to deploy and manage wireless payments. However, with the latest deal the company will be able to process payments in multiple digital currencies including Bitcoin, litecoin and Dogecoin to help the customers willing to pay in cryptocurrencies.
In her statement Stacey Finley Tappin, Apriva’s senior vice president of sales and marketing communications for North America, said that her company strives to offer products and services to its more than 1,000 channels that allow them to differentiate themselves to their merchant base and make digital currencies mainstream.
The Selection of GoCoin Was Natural Says Apriva CEO
Apriva CEO Chris Spinella confessed that the choice to partner with GoCoin was a natural result of increased consumer demand as he believes that it is in forefront of the digital currency technology. He added that adding cryptocurrency support, Apriva believes they will set themselves apart from other payment processing solutions providers.
Similar views were shared by GoCoin CEO Steve Beauregard who explained that partnering with Apriva will enable them to offer altcoin and Bitcoin payments to a wide variety of companies. According to him the companies may never have considered accepting cryptocurrency as a payment option; however, as it is becoming the right option with instant payment, they are.
The agreement for partnership will auger well for the two companies as GoCoin’s technology platform is an ideal complement to the Apriva Gateway. It will be providing Apriva with the ability to support current digital currencies, and emerging currencies as well. Also, the partnership will lend credibility to cryptocurrency in the eyes of merchants.
While Apriva product users may not be familiar with Bitcoin or GoCoin, the fact that an established company such as Apriva now supports cryptocurrency payments could convince merchants that they should consider adding a Bitcoin payment option. Now with the GoCoin-Apriva partnership, altcoin communities can purchase products using their coin of choice.
Best part of the deal is that the payment processing supports Dogecoin and Litecoin payments which is unavailable with major Bitcoin payment processors such as BitPay and Coinbase. This is expected to give an edge to GoCoin over competitors.
