Kyle Mathis Salon in Santa Monica, California is now accepting Bitcoin. The announcement came when Bee Bond, a hair stylist at the salon, posted her comment in Reddit. She says that after seeing her boyfriend pretty much obsessed with the digital currency, she decided to take a look for herself and found that it could actually really help her business.
She further wrote in her comment that depending on how busy she is, she pays somewhere between 300-600 dollars a month in fees for the privilege of taking credit cards! Her comment further reads that for someone who operates on a pretty tight margin, she loves the idea of low to no fees, and being her own bank, she feels Bitcoin is the best thing that can happen.
According to Bee Bond she now accepts Bitcoin and for that she is on Coinmap, and as far as she can tell, she is the only hair stylist listed accepting Bitcoin in the Los Angeles area. Thus, becoming a pioneer entrepreneur who has adapted to Bitcoin, she thinks she can get new customers, particularly the ones who feel Bitcoin is cool for cool hair styles.

In her comment, Been Bond said, “I’m a master hair extensions expert and dry cut expert, and I tailor both men and women. Anything from dapper inglorious bastards styles for the gents to sexy long loose layers for the ladies and everything in between. I enjoy cutting short feminine pixie cut styles, and currently I’m in love with giving pastel ombre colors.”
She feels that typically customers will find her giving custom highlights and that is some specialty that she offers. According to her as her business is registered with Coinmap that maps the locations of cryptocurrency-accepting businesses in any given area around the world, customers can easily find out the salon.
Also, there are so far two other hair salons in Los Angeles listed on the site; however, Bond’s is the only one in the Santa Monica area. Though there are doubts about the huge footfalls in her salon as services are expensive, she hopes that customers would definitely love the idea of Bitcoin and flock in large numbers.
Currently, she charges $90 for women and $65 for men who may not be unaffordable for so many people and they might like the idea of Bitcoin as well.
