After several instances wherein Bitcoins were stolen by hackers, the demand for safe and secure storage facilities went up and then came the solution in the form of ‘cold storage.’ Hardbit is one such company that has brought in Hardbit HB01 Bitcoin Hardware Wallet which is a low-cost offline, secure, cold storage solution for Bitcoins.
Even when in use, the wallet allows owners use them whenever they want. Moreover, as the Trezor wallet is just starting to ship pre-orders and Butterfly Labs has still not shipped their hardware wallet, the demand was going up, Hardbit feels it is an opportune time to start shipping its Bitcoin wallet.
Nonetheless, as Hardbit is a stand-alone solution to offline storage that is not a paper wallet or a complicated DIY method, it is becoming even more popular than other options. The customers who have got their HB01 say that it is rugged and small and looks like a mini cell phone with a touch screen and camera on the back.
With 2.5″ Touch Screen and 48 x 88 x 12.8mm in size, HB01 comes with an extra 900 mah lithium battery and a USB power cord and dongle to plug it in. However, as the manufacturers are not providing a paper manual with it, rather, give a manual on the unit itself, customers will have to use the PDF available in English on the Hardbit site.
Works with Android Application
According to various reviews HB01 walks users through setup very simply with an Android app which is available aplenty. Thus, helping out not just Bitcoin transactions but also providing them safe and secure storage feature, it is expected to become even more popular than other wallets. Nonetheless, with interface that is clean and easy to use, customers have hassle free Bitcoin storage services.
Safety and security of Bitcoin has been kept at the top in the Bitcoin wallet with the help of screen which is easy to see and glare. The company stresses on making a secure password and also to make a backup for better security.
The best feature in HB01 is that it works to allow for a backup and thus, if client’s HB01 is lost or broken they still have their Bitcoin. Least but not the last, the ability gives a bit more of a sense of security when using the HB01 and that is what clients look for.
