London is again going to host another Bitcoin event as HackCoin is going to be held at the Barclays Accelerator in Notting Hill, London, on Friday 24th July. The aim of HackCoin is to catalyze investment into the digital currency startup community during the Hackathon weekend and beyond.

There will also be some prizes that are focused on helping to fund ideas. Nonetheless, the organizers of HackCoin are welcoming hackers and developers to come and test out their most creative ideas in cryptocurrency Fintech using any digital currency that they choose. The possible applications are far wider than digital currency though.

The organizers of the event also admit that the participants can achieve what they want with blockchain technology beyond Fintech. Thus, transferring real property, gaming, immutable and transparent records, and anything else they can imagine are fair game at HackCoin that aims to promote genuine revolutionary ideas.

Identity and the blockchain – The Theme of the HackCoin

Ajit Nayar from HackCoin informs that this is one of the most complex issues in the blockchain sphere at the moment so the organizers are looking forward to seeing innovative and feasible solutions for this problem. He further adds that the organizers invite all coders, entrepreneurs and observers to sign up and take part in HackCoin.

The official website gives a lot of information about the purpose behind the event. For instance, it tells that one of the most complex issues to date in the blockchain sphere is identity and blockchain. However, it does not mean that issues like fraud, inefficiency, lack of customer control, etc. are not the major issues.

A lot of Crucial Issues in blockchain Technology to be touched

The HackCoin is going to discuss how to reduce fraud and increase trust (proving identity), reduce friction and drive efficiencies (registration, single login and payments), enable customer to control their data (consent and permissions), and how to develop the ability to prove identity with alternative data sources i.e. if someone doesn’t have a driver’s license or passport.

It appears that the technology platform will be provided by Eris Industries in collaboration with NXT. The organizers explain that the participants are invited to test these platforms throughout the day starting at 10.00 and finishing at 18.00. Updates on the event will be posted on Hackcoin’s Twitter @Hackc0in.
