Yahoo and Google Added Bitcoin Quotes
The role of Bitcoin in the world finance market was further intensified when Bloomberg added its quotes on its highly trafficked finance portal. This time, it is Yahoo Finance and Google Finance – two other highly accessed finance news portals – that have added Bitcoin quotes to their portals.
“We’ve added bitcoin to Yahoo Finance because it’s something our users are interested in – adoption of bitcoin is becoming more commonplace, and we feel it is relevant to our industry and to our users,” a Yahoo spokesperson told Coindesk.
Both Yahoo and Google are now publishing Bitcoin’s opening and closing prices, as well as its price fluctuation reports. Although both the websites are offering similar Bitcoin features, but Google is few steps ahead of Yahoo by offering Bitcoin conversion to multiple currencies, while Yahoo only offering conversion to US dollars.
Mastodon New Album to be Available for Bitcoin
Mastodon, the famous American band, is all set to launch their new album “Once More Round the Sun“, but this time with a digital twist. The Warner Bros. Record Inc. labelled band will be the first in their lot to accept Bitcoin for their records. This is indeed a clear sign of growing acceptance of Bitcoin in the music industry. Recently, 50 Cent also announced to accept the cryptocurrency for his next album.
Travel Planning Giant Expedia Now Accepting Bitcoin
Expedia announced that it will start accepting bitcoins for hotel bookings and became the first largest online travel agency to do so. The company also promised to include Bitcoin in its other services if the public response is good enough. Expedia is tying up with Coinbase for processing payments in cryptocurrencies.
