Rapper 50 Cents Accepting Bitcoin for New Album
Entrepreneur and hip hop celebrity, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has joined the league of those musicians and entrepreneurs who are adopting Bitcoin as a payment method. According to the reports, the rapper’s new album, “Ambition Animal”, can now be purchased by paying the cryptocurrency. To make this historical tie happen, e-commerce site Shopify will be using the payment processor Bitpay to accept Bitcoins.
SEC fines Erik Voorhees
The Securities Commission of the United States or SEC, has sued the renowned Bitcoin entrepreneur Erik Voorhees in a case related to wrongfully conducting business affairs in two of its projects – SatoshiDICE and FeedZeBirds. He is accused for not registering the shares before offering them, as per required by Federal Law. Voorhees accepted the charges for which he is accused and decided to resign from his post.
Poland Gets its First Bitcoin ATM
Poland is rapidly becoming one of the most Bitcoin friendly European countries, following the recent launch of the Bitcoin Embassy in Warsaw. The organization has now launched Poland’s very first Bitcoin ATM, manufactured by Lamassu. The organization is further planning to introduce more Bitcoin ATMs in the country. According to the sources, Poland could potentially have 30 Bitcoin ATMs by this year’s end.
