NCR Silver Announces to Integrate Bitcoin
Payment giant NCR Silver announced its plans to offer small business the opportunity to accept Bitcoin payments via BitPay. The services will be launched hopefully by the end of this year, and will be free of cost. To use this feature, consumers will be required to use a Bitcoin wallet application, which will soon be available on both Apple App Store and Google Play Store. In its blogpost, NCR said that it aims to add payment flexibility for small businesses. The company’s Director of Business Development Reggie Kimble further added:
“Gone are the days when cash and cards were the only payment options available to customers shopping at small businesses. Offering bitcoin as a payment alternative allows small businesses the flexibility they need to better serve their growing number of customers who prefer digital payment solutions.”
OpenBazaar Launched in a New Avatar
OpenBazaar, the decentralized online market designed particularly for Bitcoin ecommerce, was recently launched in a new avatar. Dubbed as Tabriz, this new version is now available in beta mode. As can be read on the OpenBazaar blog, they are “starting the tradition of naming our releases after great bazaars from all around the world, with the first being Tabriz, a market in Iran which is one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East.”
This is the first ever OpenBazaar platform that can run on Windows-enabled machines.
ADCCA to Host Bitcoin Conference after G20
Australian Bitcoin lobby group Australian Digital Currency Association (ADCCA) will host a special event on cryptocurrency in Brisbane. The event, known as Global Digital Currency Conversation, will be held on 16th and 17th November (end of G20 summit) and will feature panelists from both government and the cryptocuurency sector.
