Student Loans Get Cheaper with Bitcoins
Brawker, the Bitcoin-based online shop, recently associated with Tuition.io, a company dedicated to providing student loans to help students save up to 17% on their educational loans. Brawker sell bitcoins with a profit margin, which allows students to buy tuition gifts cards from Tuition.io. The cards have a limit of $500 and a 6% commission. However, customers can get them for $441, representing a discount of 17%.
Blockchain.INFO Hacker Johoe Speaks to Let’s Talk Bitcoin
Johoe, the hacker who gained fame within the Bitcoin industry for stealing BTC funds to demonstrate the security flaw in wallet company Blockchain.info, recently gave an interview to to Let’s Talk Bitcoin. Some excerpts:
“I watched this problem closely in the last days because there was another application doing similar things […] yes, I found a new key a week or something like that. So, I made it a habit to look after it every day, and this [one] morning I found these 500 new weak keys, so I knew there was a problem here. […] In this commit, the developer wrote what the problem was […] this was my starting point. […] It was clear that if I know the random numbers, then I could basically generate them myself. […] The main motivation was the technical part.”
