Argentinean E-Commerce Platform Adds Bitcoin
Ombushop is a renowned platform to create and sell virtual stores online. This Argentinean store once again made it into the news recently when it announced to ink a deal with payment processing platform BitPagos, clearly indicating its plans to accept cryptocurrency as one of the payment modes. Explaining the meaning of their announcement, Ombushop CEO Ernesto Tagwerker told CoinDesk.COM:

“We see in Bitcoin a great medium to get paid from clients all over the world. Now, Argentine shops can sell to the US and all over the world without having to worry how to get paid.”

Charlie Shrem Gets Judiciary Offers
Charlie Shrem has been reportedly approached by the New York prosecutors to plead guilty for unlicensed money transmission. In exchange of the confession, the prosecutors have promised Shrem freedom from serious charges which include, money laundering, hiding suspicious activities of Silk Road, and others. If, in case, Shrem is found guilty of all above charges, he could face up to 30 years in prison. He further told the media that he is ready for such an offer He said: “So, this is a first step of many, but I’m happy to not be going to trial, and moving forward.”

Bitcoin Community Gathers Together to Fight against ALS
Last week, Hal Finney, one of the pioneers of Bitcoin and the first recipient of Satoshi Nakamoto Bitcoin, died after battling Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Because of the disease, Finney spent the last years of his life in a wheelchair and even required mechanical ventilation. To support research into this disease, some members of the Bitcoin community wanted to help in their own way, donating Bitcoins to help the cause and remind Finney. Erik Voorhees, Jason King (of Sean’s Outpost), Roger View, BitPay and Bitcoin Foundation joined forces to create the background Bitcoin Hal Finney Fund for this purpose.
