An official blog entry by the Bitcoin Foundation showed that it has added the Bitcoin Foundation Slovenia as the latest affiliate. The blog says that the Bitcoin Foundation announces their first affiliate in Southern Central Europe, Slovenia and according to the information available Bitcoin Foundation Slovenia or “Bitcoin Institut” is the first affiliate to utilize a full branding package.
Full branding package is a special offer from the Bitcoin Foundation wherein the affiliate gets access to website, email accounts, branding, and design collateral. The package is aimed at making it truly a turnkey operation and often preferred by the organizations that want to associate themselves with the Bitcoin Foundation.
The blog entry at the Bitcoin Foundation shows that by partnering with the global foundation, local leadership can focus precious time, energy and resources on what matters most is that with it leading Bitcoin education and outreach becomes reality. The organization aims to assist the regional entities to get momentum and establish themselves as beacon for Bitcoiners.

According to him, the foundation’s vision to ensure all people have the opportunity to realize Bitcoin’s potential is powerful and something we believe in and can really rally behind.

The newly added affiliate the Bitcoin Institut has several people in the team that includes Chairman Sergij Foski and Board Members, Ziga Turk, Aleksander Kucler, Gregor Karlovsek, Gregor Knafelc, Luka Pusic and Ziga Bobinac. The team aims to focus on devising ways to advance the adoption process among local merchants and consumers.
The Bitcoin Foundation Slovenia aims to nurture more innovation, new startups and inspire people of all walks of life to Bitcoin’s ability to positively impact every life and according to Sergij Foski the country has an ideal atmosphere for the digital currency. The decision was made after the Bitcoin Foundation found out that the two organizations have similar goals.
Mark Woods, Affiliate Director admitted that he was amazed how much of Bitcoin Institut’s goals and values resonated with the one from the Bitcoin Foundation. He said that he is extremely excited to have a solid team on the ground to lead the way for Bitcoin’s adoption in Slovenia. With Slovenia in the list, the foundation aims to reach other countries in the region.
