What the world currently needs the most is peace and harmony, particularly, when a significant portion of the world is fighting terrorism and there is huge refugee crisis going on. In such a turmoil situation, Bitcoin could not be left aside, understanding the need of the time, FoxBit, the biggest Bitcoin exchange of Latin America, has launched the campaign “Bitcoin for Peace”.
In a press release, the firm says that the initiative is about inviting all cryptocurrency exchanges of the world to donate their fees collected on September 21, the International Day of Peace, for entities that work helping people who live in conflicted areas. Thus, Bitcoin not just serves Ebola patients in Africa but also the people get respite from violence and terrorism.
‘Bitcoin for Peace’ to Remember the United Nations’ International Peace Day
It is evident that the United Nations declared the International Day of Peace in 1981, and every year they bring different themes with another concept that suits the situation and time. For instance, this year’s theme is “Partners for peace – Dignity for all.” To be part of the event, many companies are creating campaigns to show their solidarity with the UN mission.
Showing its commitment for the goal that the UNO is celebrating the International Day of Peace, FoxBit too has come forward. Talking about the decision, Guto Schiavon, the co-founder of FOXBIT said that the organization has enjoyed so much these companies’ initiative that it has joined the Peace One Day.
Later on according to Guto Schiavon the organization thought the Bitcoin community, which grows daily, could help a lot and makes a difference in the life of many people in war zones. Therefore, the company has decided to create the ‘Bitcoin for Peace.’ It is inviting the donations from the people so that moving ahead with the movement is easy.
Bitcoin Donations Invited
All those who are interested to promote the peace and decrease the suffering in war areas can now donate Bitcoin to FoxBit. For those who want to donate individually, the company has created a Bitcoin address. The organization declares that the donations from it with the amount of service fees collected from users on September 21 will happen after the Peace Day.
The organization has chosen to make It’s donations to the NGO Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF or Doctors Without Borders), which is an institution that works in many areas with armed conflicts, terrorism and humanity crises.
