Andrew Lampe Joins the Bitcoin Foundation as Technical Director

The Bitcoin Foundation in its official blog announced to the world that it has brought in another notable personality into its board as former NASA veteran Andrew Lampe has joined it as new Technical Director. Joining the non-profit organization, which seeks to standardize, protect, and promote Bitcoin usage, Andrew Lampe has shown his commitment for the digital currency.

Coming from rich technical background, Andrew Lampe is expected to help the organization develop technology infrastructure. He has tons of work experience e.g. he worked at NASA’s Goddard Spaceflight Center in Maryland on the HIVE supercomputer and later on he moved to work at Monster.com in the late 1990s.

The blog says that with huge experience working for NASA, Mr. Lampe will be given huge job responsibilities. For instance, he would be given the task for leading the web development team and providing oversight for the Foundation’s technical grant program. Also, he will be overseeing corporate technology infrastructure.
